Bitmine: Increased its ETH holdings by approximately 190,000 coins last week, bringing the total ETH holdings to 1.713 million coins
BlockBeats News, August 25th, according to prnewswire, the US-listed company Bitmine (BMNR) today announced that its total cryptocurrency and cash holdings have exceeded 8.82 billion US dollars. As of 5:30 pm Eastern Time on August 24th, the company's cryptocurrency holdings include 1,713,899 ETH (priced at $4,808 per ETH, data source: Bloomberg), 192 Bitcoins (BTC), and $562 million in unrestricted cash.
BitMine's Chairman, Tom Lee, stated: "In the past week, BitMine has increased its cryptocurrency and cash holdings by $2.2 billion to $8.8 billion (adding 190,500 ETH to the holdings, increasing the total from 1.52 million ETH to 1.71 million ETH). This is our second week raising funds from institutional investors at such a pace to pursue the goal of reaching 5% of the total ETH supply."
