NVIDIA is expanding its robot development collaboration with four Japanese industrial automation companies: Fujitsu, Fanuc, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Yaskawa Electric, to promote its artificial intelligence hardware business. The four companies will join the NVIDIA-led Cosmos Alliance, aimed at accelerating the application of NVIDIA's platform in the field of physical AI. Physical AI involves hardware applications such as humanoid robots, factory automation, autonomous vehicles, smart buildings, and rail transit systems. Hitachi, NEC, Komatsu, and Kubota will also join the alliance. Prior to this collaboration announcement, NVIDIA unveiled new technologies, including Cosmos 3-H, a lightweight world foundation model designed for physical AI development, suitable for edge computing devices; it also launched two robot computers, Jetson T3000 and Jetson T2000, positioned between the flagship T4000 series and the AGX Orin platform.
