Russia Opens Legal Investment Path with Cryptocurrency Bill Passage
The State Duma of Russia has unanimously passed a bill concerning 'digital currencies and digital rights.' This legislation recognizes digital currencies as 'property' and specifies requirements for circulation and rights protection. The community has reacted positively, anticipating the emergence of legal investment avenues through domestic exchanges and asset management firms. At the same time, concerns are growing in the community regarding risks such as reduced traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, disruptions in oil transport due to tanker attacks, and the slowdown in U.S. employment indicators. In Europe, warnings have emerged that some crypto companies with MiCA licenses may leave the EU market due to regulatory burdens. Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, is generating excitement in the community by announcing the upcoming launch of a non-custodial Gram wallet. The International Energy Agency has reported that member countries have released approximately 290 million barrels of oil, indicating significant geopolitical variables. Reports suggest that Trump may announce a 10% tariff on several countries, raising concerns about a rekindling of trade conflicts. The community is strengthening its vigilance regarding these macroeconomic and geopolitical issues.
