The Polish Lower House Fails to Overturn President's Veto on Strict Regulation <br> of <i>Cryptocurrency Market Act</i>

BlockBeats News, December 5th, according to Bloomberg, the lower house of the Polish parliament failed to garner enough votes in a Friday vote to overturn President Nawrocki's veto of the stringent regulation Act on the Cryptocurrency Market.

President Nawrocki stated before the vote that this legislation is crucial for implementing EU standards in the cryptocurrency industry and for national security. Despite the bill passing through other levels of parliament, the president's veto and the lower house's failure indicate significant obstacles the bill has encountered in the legislative process.

BlockBeats previously reported that on December 2nd, Polish President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the stringent regulation Act on the Cryptocurrency Market, leading to praise from the cryptocurrency community and strong criticism from the government. The Polish President's Office stated that the provisions of the bill "truly threaten the freedom, property, and national stability of the Polish people."
